Ms. Maldonado advocates for businesses, either prosecution or defense, which arise from the employment relationship in both federal and state courts and before administrative agencies or tribunals. Her background as a General Counsel has afforded her a unique perspective on the administrative issues facing corporations and she frequently assists in developing policies and procedures within the client’s organization. She has handled several Fair Labor Standards Act litigation matters and has even handled health insurance related issues for employers and their employees which involve coverage issues. She drafts employment, non-disclosure and non-compete agreements.
Ms. Maldonado is skilled at representing construction companies in litigation and transactional matters. Her expertise includes drafting, reviewing and negotiating AIA contracts and subcontractor agreements as well as analyzing insurance contracts and working with the company’s insurance team to insure maximum coverage. She has extensive Mechanic’s Lien experience in prosecution and defense and is aggressive in seeking the removal of Mechanic’s Liens through state courts.
